When Kind Of Like Spitting hands you lemons, toss 'em in Josh's rock tumbler and turn 'em into gems. That's what we always say on Cloak & Dagger Radio.
This week we prepare for an exciting in-studio performance by Ben Barnett of KOLS only to have the band break up and Ben leave town - opting to drive 35 hours home to Portland, Oregon rather than play on our show.
Dejected and humiliated, we somehow manage to persevere by channeling strength from '80s cartoon character Jem, and our imprisoned Russian immigrant pal Ivan. By the time we reach our compensatory gem storm (new ones by The Evens, Viking Moses, Lemuria, Detachment Kit, The Curtains), one can't help but wonder, "Kind Of Like who?"
